An Active Membership

Alnmouth Golf Club has a very active membership of more than 800.

Our mens and ladies sections offer a full competition fixtures schedule aimed at players of all standards. The Mens competitions are on a Saturday and the Ladies Section hold their competitions on a Friday morning, but have the Sunday preceding the Friday Competition as an Alternative day for many of their competitors. We have a thriving gents Seniors Section for our over 55’s who run a variety of weekly competitions on a Wednesday morning and a series of friendly matches with local clubs. We also have a Seniors Competition every Saturday in conjunction with the Mens Fixture List. We also run several friendly matches against local Clubs and have a varied social calendar.

Update from July 2023- Our membership is currently full and we are only accepting junior and summer evening memberships. You can still apply for membership but please note there may not be any spaces available this season. We will continue to monitor our membership levels monthly.

Full Membership
Full playing rights.
5-Day Membership
Sunday to Thursday inclusive.
Summer Evening Membership
Available from April to September only, social golf with tee times from 3pm onwards.
Lifestyle Membership
Play up to 15 rounds per year, unrestricted tee times Sunday – Thursday, Friday from 3pm and Saturday from 4pm. No joining fee.
Under 30 Membership
Full playing rights for members aged 21 – 30 inclusive with no joining fee.
Student & Junior Membership
Full playing rights with no joining fee and reduced subscription fees
Country Membership
Full playing rights for members who live between 60 and 100 miles from Foxton and do not own nor occupy any residence for more than 28 days within that distance.
Country Distant Membership
Full playing rights for members who live more than 100 miles from Foxton and do not own nor occupy any residence for more than 28 days within that distance.
Subscription year runs from 1st April.

Member Benefits - Reciprocal Green Fees
Members are also able to play at Alnmouth Village, Alnwick, Goswick, Newbiggin, Northumberland GC, Brancepeth Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Tyneside, Hexham, Ponteland, Newcastle United, Morpeth, Gosforth, Arcot Hall, City of Newcastle, Blyth, Bedlington, Westerhope, Eaglescliffe and Tynemouth Golf Club’s for a reciprocal green fee ranging from £15 depending on the Club, a great bonus for being a member of Alnmouth.
Practice Facilities Membership
£150 per annum from 1st April includes:
- Driving Range Card – Unlimited Use of Range Ball Dispenser for one season
- Full use of practice facilities: Short game area, all Putting greens, Chipping green, Short course.
- Clubhouse Bar Card for drinks and food discount
- Complimentary 1 Hour Simulator use for 4 people
- Complimentary 15 minute lesson with PGA Professional
- Members rates for Indoor Golf Studio
- Simulator Hire: £5 per person per hour.
- Practice Sessions: 30mins £5, 1 hour £8 per person.

Juniors
We have a particularly strong junior section having recently achieved the national England Golf GolfMark and Clubmark accreditation in recognition of the work with our junior members and overall Club management. We hold free junior coaching and competition sessions every week of the school holidays.

Ladies
Alnmouth Golf Club have a thriving Ladies Section, founded in 1907 and now with a membership of around 190 lady members, including 30 social members, 10 juniors from the age of 7 and 15 ladies as part of our Academy Programme learning the game.

Membership Applications

We welcome applications for membership whether by invitation from existing members or if you don’t know anyone at Alnmouth then please contact the Club Manager, Daniel Harrison. The annual subscriptions for each category are shown above. The annual subscription can be paid by interest free monthly instalments. There is a one off Entrance Fee on selected categories and payment can be spread over five years if required.
