The first-ever match between the Ladies and Seniors sections at Alnmouth Golf Club was a fantastic success, ending in a well-earned 4–2 victory for the Ladies.

Before play began, Seniors Captain Lawrence Fenley welcomed both teams and explained the format of the competition — including the intriguing concept of the bisque, which added a fun tactical twist to the day.

Despite a stiff breeze across the course, the rain kindly held off until the final group finished, allowing for an enjoyable round of golf for all involved.

Back in the Clubhouse, both teams tucked into a delicious two-course meal, rounding off the day in great spirits. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the new trophy, awarded to Ladies Captain Liz Alexander by John and Sheila Halliday.
