Alnmouth Golf Club overlooks the splendors of both Foxton and Alnmouth
Bay. It is widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the North
East of England. Alnmouth Golf Club (the fourth oldest golf club in Engalnd)
was formed in 1869, with a nine-hole course on the links at Alnmouth Village.
The famous golf course architect H. S. Colt (the designer of Wentworth,
Sunningdale and Pine Valley) was commissioned to create the present course
for the Duke of Northumberland in 1930. Although the course has a coastal
location it has parkland turf and a reputation for the fine quality of
the greens.
A special feature of "Foxton", as we are generally known, is
an 18-bed Dormy House designed to house groups of visiting golfers in
fully modernised twin or single rooms with en suite facilities.
These Dormy Breaks can be tailored to meet your needs, although the standard
break includes Dinner, Bed and Breakfast with two rounds of golf, one
on the afternoon of your arrival and one on the morning of your departure.
The cost of these breaks during the summer months from May to September
is £92 per person, with special spring and autumn offers of £69.00
during the months of April and October and a winter special of £59.00
per person from November to March.
In addition, we can also arrange a two night, three round stay to incorporate
our coastal classic golf ticket. The three rounds are played at Alnmouth,
Bamburgh Castle GC and Goswick GC and the package includes Dinner Bed
and Breakfast in the Dormy House. The cost of this stay is £195.00
per person for the two night stay.
